Two men (Frank Castle & Al Simmon) who were once a soldiers (And also vigilante In Franck case), Before they tragically died (Frank died due Thanos attack, Conquered universe, While Simmon died after being betrayed by his superior due he questioned his job as soldier).
Both of them later met mysterious, Manipulative supernatural villains (Mephisto & Malebolgia) who later offered them to made deal with them in exchange for something they wanted (Frank made deal with Mephisto so he can get revenge on Thanos, While Simmon made deal with Malebolgia to met his wife again).
After they made deal with them, They turned into superhuman monsters (Frank become Ghost Rider, Simmon become Hellspawn).
However, When they revived, They became depressed (Mad In Frank case) after realized the "world around them" have changed a lot since their death (In Frank case, Literally, Due earth now already empty, Caused him feels so isolated that There's no one to punish as Ghost Rider espesically due Frank have been alone in destroyed earth for very long time. Meanwhile, For Simmon case, Figuratively due he found out that Malebolgia removed his memory about his life, Turned himself into Malebolgia own "tool", And found out that his wife already moved on from his death and already re-married with someone else).
Both of them eventually get involved in more cosmic conflicts after they became those superhuman monsters & given cosmic powers (Frank become Herald of Galactus to hunt Thanos & gained Power Cosmic, While Simmon eventually get involved in Armageddon where he given power from man of miracle to decided fate of the world).
Both of them have similars fighting style, Using guns & chains.
Alternative, Futuristic universe version of Frank Castle that become Ghost Rider vs The most popular version of Spawn that became icon of 90's comic book anti-hero.
I know that everyone probably won't like this Matchup idea because this is just Ghost Rider vs Spawn but using Frank Castle instead Johnny Blaze, But I'm actually honest, I like this one way more than Johnny vs Simmon because aesthetic wise, I like an idea where classic 90's character fighting againts more modern character from 2010's. Plus, Due Frank was also soldier like Simmon before they turned into vengeful monsters, It gives me more vibes for the connections.
